Unit Victor NLD Foundation is there for veterans who leave no one behind. They are the connector between (former) veterans and a central point with news and events for veterans.
The foundation was looking for a way to offer help to veterans who need it more quickly. In fact, research shows that veterans who develop mental symptoms have a care delay of about eight to 10 years. The foundation needed an app, which would use phone data to pre-emptively signal when changes in a veteran’s state of mind occur. This allows him or her to get help sooner.
To give veterans a leg up, the foundation developed the app Unit Victor in collaboration with Endeavour. This is a free app especially for veterans. With this app, veterans can keep in touch with the comrades they served with and find former colleagues. In doing so, the app shows relevant news items, events and information from the veteran world. The app also allows users to track the amount of phone use and exercise. With this information, early warning signs can be given of changes in the user’s habits.
Long-term plans
The app has become a secure online meeting place, with all kinds of extras such as relevant information, news and events. If someone is not doing well mentally, the app allows them to find former colleagues to whom one word is enough. You can also contact agencies and zero line workers directly within the app. the long-term goal is to identify mental complaints in veterans early and thereby reduce the course of illness.
Stay involved
Even after delivery of various assets, we remain connected to Engage. For instance, we will roll out another digital measurement plan to increase the effectiveness of resources.
