Customized security

BauWatch had already well figured out how to fulfill their mission, with access gates, a check-in and check-out system and secure turnstiles (revolving doors). They already had a lot of knowledge about the different systems needed for this. It was up to Endeavour to convert the supplied functional design into a SAAS solution. To do this, we broke it down into a number of large epics, which in turn were divided into bi-weekly sprints. In teams of developers and UX designers, we were then able to start developing the system. The collaboration between developers and user experience designers ensured that design and software development ran in parallel and reinforced each other.

Since the construction of this SaaS solution, all kinds of features and controls have been built in, but data security and processing according to the AVG have always been a common thread throughout the project. Functionality can be on or off per project, depending on the needs of this particular construction site. The system has a number of important functions. For example, everyone who comes in is checked to make sure they have the proper certifications and a valid ID. If something goes wrong on the construction site, the system can immediately display who all is on site.

The continuous cooperation between Endeavour and BauWatch ensures that several new features have already been added since the start of the project. In scrum teams, feature requests can be picked up quickly.

How we keep over 500 construction sites safe

BauWatch now secures more than 500 construction sites throughout the Netherlands. All software, hardware for passports and card readers and the Android and IOS apps are built by Endeavour. This allows construction personnel to work more safely and keeps unwanted visitors off the construction site.
